You’re invited to celebrate Contemporary Art Month with Parts & Labor and our our March residents Kaitlyn Tucek & Matt Tripodi.
On Sunday, March 29, families and curious visitors of all ages are warmly invited to join Tucek in the creation of a vibrant, evolving wall installation. Using dozens of small ceramic rainbows, Tucek will build a large-scale composition that spreads across the wall like a drawing in space—where colors, lines, and forms gather, overlap, and burst outward with playful energy. Over the course of the residency, she will add painted marks and gestures that echo the lively palettes and movement found in her rainbow sculptures.
During this open studio event, participants can add their own lines, shapes, and colors to the artwork, experimenting with intuitive mark-making and responding to the growing composition together.
No experience is necessary—just imagination and a willingness to play!
The collaborative installation will remain on view through the end of the residency. During the de-installation on April 3 and 4, visitors are invited to return and take home one of the ceramic rainbows as a keepsake of the shared project—until they have all been given away.
Refreshments will be served. Hope you’ll join the fun!
