       Meaghan MittsDIRECTOR & CO-FOUNDER Originally from El Paso, Meaghan Mitts moved to San Antonio after living in NYC for eighteen years. Having worked for a variety of arts nonprofits, family foundations, and arts & culture magazines, she’s played a critical role in building active engagement between organizations and their audiences. She has planned international arts conferences, multi-day workshops and training events, intimate dinners in experimental venues, artist salons, art auctions, and over thirty exhibitions. She has edited for journals such as Image, The Curator, The Mockingbird, and recently Lake Flato's Notes From the Field, as well as many exhibition catalogs and monographs. She loves finding resources to help entrepreneurial creatives flourish in their work.

       Liz Stehl KlebergCO-FOUNDER Hailing from Virginia, Liz lives in San Antonio with her husband Matt and their two boys. There she makes art and operates Way Way Co., a line of children’s apparel manufactured in NYC and made from sustainably sourced materials. After earning their MFAs together at Pratt Institute, Liz and Tal Gilboa began an ongoing collaboration to create installations with video projection and sculpture. As a mother and artist, Liz is excited to provide the necessary support artists need as caretakers.

       Matt KlebergCO-FOUNDER Matt received his BA from the University of Virginia in 2008 and an MFA from Pratt Institute in 2015. He is represented by the Brussels gallery, Sorry We’re Closed, and Texas-based galleries, Pazda Butler and Barry Whistler. Kleberg has been exhibited across the world from New York to Amsterdam, and he has been featured in the likes of the New York Times, Vice, ArtDaily, and Hyperallergic. His work can be found in public and private collections including the Williams College Museum of Art, the Addison Gallery of American Art, the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, and the National Gallery of Art.

Gate Davis
Gate Davis has spent his career helping non-profit organizations—from start-ups to legacy institutions—bring their visions to life through creative programs, communications, and community building. He believes in the power of place and is excited about the commitment Parts and Labor is making to visual artists within the context of the Lavaca neighborhood and the city of San Antonio. Gate lives with his family in Boerne, TX.
Allyson Darakjian
Allyson Darakjian is a multidisciplinary artist working primarily in painting and performance. She has a MA in Theology and Psychology from the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology (2015) and an MFA from the Universtiy of Nevada Reno (2023). She currently resides in Fresno, California with her husband (Gary) and two sons (Artie, 6 and Ozzie, 3). Drawing on her background in theology and psychology, as well as her lived experience of motherhood, her practice explores collaborative approaches to making often incorporating her children into the creative process. She teaches art at her local community college and curates a small local gallery (which also happens to be an incredible sandwich shop!). Allyson recently participated in the Parts and Labor Residency and is excited to join the board as an advocate for nurturing spaces that empower artist-caretakers to thrive creatively and personally during the profound transition of becoming a parent.
nicholas frank
Nicholas Frank is a writer, curator, and artist originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he ran a DIY art space, worked in administration and taught at an arts college, curated a university gallery, and wrote for various publications. He moved to San Antonio, Texas, in 2017 after an Artpace residency, and then worked for the San Antonio Report as an art and culture reporter. He joined Glasstire as News Editor in 2025.
LISA HOGAN
Lisa Hogan is the co-founder and director of Phaeton Gallery in Charlottesville, Virginia—a community art space offering sales and consulting, studios, exhibitions, and workshops. With over 25 years of experience in arts education, nonprofit leadership, and community arts programming, she served as a director of the Ah Haa School for the Arts in Colorado for a decade and held the position of board chair from 2021 to 2023. Lisa holds degrees from Geneva College and the University of Michigan (M.Ed. in Educational Technology), and has served on the boards of C4K, Komen Milwaukee, Amazon Aid, and the Botanical Garden of the Piedmont. Her expertise in development strategy and board governance supports her ongoing work with Part & Labor, helping to grow its impact in the arts community.
Karla Kopalli
Scott martin
Scott Martin is an artist whose work explores themes of time and isolation, illuminating how the natural environment juxtaposes with the manmade. Scott’s business Onsight, assists museums and private collectors in creating exceptional art documentation while advancing emerging methodologies. Furthermore, he offers consulting services globally, collaborating with museums, archivists, artists and print professionals to enhance their color science and imaging workflows.
LADY RAY ROMANO
Lady Ray Romano is the community engagement specialist with The Congregational Collective. She brings 30 + years’ experience leading collaborative partnerships and managing community impact investment strategies for the San Antonio Area Foundation and United Way. Working in philanthropy and the nonprofit and faith arenas gives her opportunities to build relationships with diverse community members and provide resources to help people reach their full potential.
MAYA SHUGART
Maya Shugart is a cultural producer based in San Antonio, TX. She worked in NYC and Boston producing arts and cultural programming for adults and families at organizations including, El Museo del Barrio, NY and The High Line, NY. In 2018 she moved with her family to San Antonio to run and operate her family’s restaurant Liberty Bar, a 40-year-old institution rooted in the arts community.
