Join us for an evening with Tatiana Istomina, a Siberian-born, New York–based artist whose interdisciplinary practice spans painting, installation, sculpture, video, and text. Drawing from a unique trajectory that includes a PhD in physics and an MFA in visual arts, Istomina’s work explores how knowledge is produced, translated, and trusted—across systems of education, media, and everyday life.

The program will take the form of an artist talk followed by a conversation between Tatiana Istomina and Nicholas Frank, artist, writer, and Parts & Labor board member. Together they will discuss Istomina’s recent work, her research-driven practice, and the ways scientific thinking, language, and lived experience shape her artistic inquiry. The conversation will be followed by time for audience questions.
